The evolving ethos of Red & Yellow Care demanded that the visual identity of the brand match its aspiration for effective care that rivalled the premium offering of London’s Harley Street doctors.
Named for the bird of legend—the Halcyon; a Greek legend of a bird that nested on the sea, which it calmed in order to lay its eggs on a floating nest. This myth led to the use of halcyon as a term for peace and calmness. Now, commonly given to the European Kingfisher, the image of this bird lends a regality and aspirational quality to the brand. It’s this peace and reassurance that a Halcyon Doctor aspires to bring to their patients.
